Donate & Help Us Make A Difference
Ashgrove Meals on Wheels offers much more than a meal by providing a daily visit to monitor the health and well being of clients who may not see anyone else during the day.
Limited government funding for Meals on Wheels services and a growing need for our services in the community means increasing reliance upon the help of many generous volunteers, monetary donations and also local business owners to assist us in our role.
Please consider supporting our vital work by donating services, gifts, vouchers or money.
Services
Are you a tradesperson, or a local business? We are grateful for the support of local businesses, tradespeople and other volunteers who help us maintain and make repairs to our service each year. If you have services, goods or time you can donate to our service please call or email us to join our community of skilled givers.
Gifts and vouchers
Gifts and vouchers that are donated are used to reward our volunteers throughout the year. Ashgrove Meals on Wheels volunteers work tirelessly to keep all operations running smoothly – this includes taking on committee roles, preparing and delivering meals, maintaining our premises and participating in fundraising activities. Gifts and vouchers are also used in our fundraising raffles throughout the year. Most years we have an Easter Raffle and a Christmas Raffle, sometimes we have other themed raffles depending on how many donations we get through the year. The more gift and voucher donations we receive, the more funds we can raise! We accept donations of gifts and vouchers during office hours and via email or post. Email or call our service to arrange your donation.
Money
All donations are tax deductible and allow us to improve our service and the lives of the people we serve. Your donation helps provide a delicious three course meal for a single mum living with a disability or an elderly neighbour. It subsidises the monthly petrol costs for our volunteers to deliver meals and share a conversation with our valued clients.
Please contact our Service Manager by phone or email regarding donation options including money, gifts/products or services.

Bequest - Leave A Lasting Legacy
A bequest is a gift or legacy left in a Will.
One of the most important ways that you can help the work of Ashgrove Meals on Wheels in the future is by including a bequest to our service in your Will. By leaving a gift in your Will you are making a powerful commitment to supporting the future of Ashgrove Meals on Wheels and the local people we care for every day. Bequests help us to continue to provide quality care for the frail aged and younger disabled, enabling them to reside for as long as possible where they are happiest—in their own homes.
Just a few words in your Will can make a world of difference to our organisation.
If you are considering a bequest to Ashgrove Meals on Wheels, please consult with your Solicitor to arrange a suitable clause to be included in your Will. It is also important to consider the needs of your family and dependents when making your Will and inform them of your wish to leave Ashgrove Meals on Wheels a gift.
Thank you for your consideration and community support.
